HANI Halal was honored to engage with the bright young minds at Islamic Dharwood Pau Memorial Primary School on 5 March 2026. Our Managing Director, Sharifa Leung, delivered an insightful and interactive speech about the crucial importance of understanding Halal principles from a young age and being mindful of dietary choices.

The session was met with exceptionally active participation from the students, both Muslim and non-Muslim. This vibrant exchange underscored a core message that HANI Halal passionately advocates: “Halal is for everyone”. It was truly inspiring to witness the students’ excitement and curiosity as they explored this important topic.

Sharifa engages the students with attractive visuals, using interesting pictures to illustrate the distinctions between Halal and non-Halal foods. The discussion dive into various aspects of Halal, including:

• The benefits of Halal slaughter methods, which contribute to superior meat quality.
• The often-overlooked presence of non-Halal ingredients that can be introduced during food processing and manufacturing.

The comprehensive content provided students with valuable knowledge, empowering them to make informed decisions about their food. The positive feedback from both students and faculty highlighted the success of the session in educating and raising awareness in an accessible and engaging manner.
